Craftsman and DieHard Battery Motorcycles by Orange County Choppers at the 2009 International Motorcycle Show

I had watched a few episodes of American Chopper and recognized their bikes right away at the International Motorcycle Show in Chicago. The Teutul's weren't there but Sears, who commissioned the motorcycles where heavily represented. I didn't realize that DieHard made motorcycle batteries, or chargers. The irony as it turned out was that the company I work at,
Designkitchen, ended up redesigning and developing both the Craftsman and DieHard websites in 2009.

I'm not a big fan of motorcycles with forward controls. I have one. The Triumph Speedmaster. I really love the way the bike looks but I've never gotten comfortable with my feet resting in front of me when negotiating turns in heavy Chicago traffic. On the highway, I rather like the laid back position but on most days I ride my Ducati or Bonneville. The OC choppers were really beautiful. Their attention to detail really came through in the finish. I don't know if the Teutul's still spend the time and effort on commissioned bikes today but they certainly didn't take any shortcuts on these two bikes. I'm not sure what it would be like to ride these, however...
